Cat Critic

Thanks to Amy Locurto for this article about crediting back to the source.  Great read:  http://www.livinglocurto.com/2012/02/letter-bloggers-pinterest/

  1. sweet illustration, I like the restricted palette and scratchy line work in the fluffy animals!

  2. I enjoy your fuzzies - dog seems a little chagrined though, and the courtesy comment - easily overlooked, when bombarded with images, and half the time when I WANT to know whose work I'm looking at, can't find a name or link. Good thought, spread the word.

  3. Very cute and funny :)
Absolutely right, it's not a good thing when you find out someone uses your image and don't give credit. Drawing and painting are enjoyable activities but they also take time and effort.

  4. ADORABLE!! although the dog clearly fails to see what is so funny! Great technique!
Smart - the image terms. I should look into that myself. I just found out someone stole one of my illustrations from a SOURCE BOOK (not online!) and used it to make posters for an event! Someone I just met recognized my art from having seen it years before.

    1. Thanks! Yes that dog is rather clueless. :o)

I haven't been using the image terms thing most of the time but I will be adding the watermark whenever possible in the future. Not fool proof but not as likely to be lifted.

  5. Well, it's hard not to acknowledge that a pompom poodle cut is very silly. I don't understand it myself. They look so much better with groomed hair (all one length!) Poor thing. I think that cat must be a youngin' with no manners. Maybe the cat will apologize later over ice cream. :)

I love the little bird. I think she may be inspecting the pompoms for nesting material. Very cute critters, all of them.
